The new garden aims to create a calm, accessible space for children, especially those with additional needs, to explore science through child-led learning. Features will include sensory planting, tactile elements, quiet areas, accessible pathways, Makaton signage, and hands-on activities that promote inclusivity and inspiration during school visits.

Please also share this post with teachers, science leads, SENDCos, teaching assistants, and SEND support staff. Your feedback will help shape a space that could benefit around 5,000 visitors every year.
