We build confidence, leadership, and life skills through adventure, teamwork and community activities. The Army Cadet Force is a national voluntary youth organisation sponsored by, but not part of, the Army. Under the guidance of 8,500 volunteer adult officers and instructors Army Cadets learn independence, responsibility and leadershi

p through activities such as sport, adventurous training, music, first aid and military skills training; as well as taking part in communi-ty activities. Each year, the ACF takes over 20,000 young people to annual summer camps across the country and abroad.

Back in July Hadleigh Detachment were proud to accept a donation from organisers of Suffolk Show (Official) on behalf of Suffolk ACF.

This was for cadets amazing work in putting together a Viking longship complete with dragon head for the trailer competition affectionately called ‘Lumberdrake’!

Major Brian Gerrard, Cadet Executive Officer of Suffolk Army Cadet Force is running the 2027 TCS London Marathon in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund.

The Army Benevolent Fund is the Army's national charity, providing support for soldiers, veterans and their families.
