Suffolk Soul Singers Youth Suffolk Soul Singers Youth is a new, inclusive singing group for those ages 8-17. Youth led, professionally facilitated.

We focus on wellbeing, confidence building and community, through singing and developing musicianship.

What happens when young people are given the space to create? 💛✨
At our recent workshop, the group chose a theme together: summer, freedom, and the sea 🌊☀️
We turned their ideas into an original song, then each young person selected words from the lyrics and brought them to life through art 🎶

Same song. Different imaginations. That’s the power of young creativity 💛✨

✨ What a day! ✨
Our Songwriting & Creative Workshop was packed with creativity, music, and so much fun 💛🎶🎨
We sang together, created artwork, explored new ideas, and even wrote our own original song about feeling free by the sea 🌊✨… and recorded it too!

There was lots of imagination, and some brilliant contributions from everyone 💫
Seeing young people express themselves through music and art is exactly what these workshops are all about 🎤🎨💛
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us—we loved every minute of it.

Now we’re already looking forward to doing it all again in the next school holidays! 👀✨🎶

I asked one of our members to write a new welcome message on the board… they wrote some lyrics
We used it as a rhythmic warm up… we found a groove and a key…. Individuals sang lines…
We made it a song….

Creativity can be beautifully spontaneous… and this totally was! A bit of magic from our young people 🪄

We now have an our very own welcome song… and we plan to record it after half term.

Is your young person arty, sporty… or both? 🎨⚽

Our Songwriting & Creative Workshop is designed to be a welcoming and supportive space for young people aged 8–17 to explore music, creativity and self expression together.

We’ll be using the ideas and themes brought by the young people themselves to shape what we create through songwriting, rhythm games, singing and creative activities.

No experience needed at all. Just creativity, curiosity and a willingness to have a go ✨

We’ve already had a lovely response and are really looking forward to welcoming everyone.

Really looking forward to leading this creative workshop over half term 🎶

One of the things I’m most excited about is that the songwriting will be shaped by the young people themselves. We’ll explore the themes, ideas and experiences they want to write about and create something together in a fun and supportive space.

If your young person enjoys music, creativity or expressing themselves, this workshop is a great opportunity to try something new and connect with others.
