You'll find me at the Kesgrave Scout for the Cake and Revolution WI Craft De-stash sale 🧶🧶

Both of the hall will be full of stall holders selling their pre loved craft supplies for various hobbies, including sewing, card making, quilting, knitting, crocheting, painting and more.

Pop along between 10 and 1pm and grab your self a bargain!

Its free to enter, with refreshments available

Only 5 days to go until our destash event

Our sellers have sorted through their craft supplies, unfinished projects and ideas that where never to be and the halls inside Kesgrave Scout Hall will be full of crafting treasures waiting to be discovered.

For anyone who hasn't been to a craft destash sale before and isn't sure what to expect, it's an indoor table top sale but all sellers have cleared out their craft supplies to sell.

If you're a crafter or run a group/craft activities you won't want to miss out on the bargain prices for craft supplies.

Both halls will have stalls in so be sure to go in both and there will also be a seating area for teas, coffee and cake.

You'll want to remember to bring a shopping bag or two along with you and most sellers will be cash only, although a few and the refreshments are able to take payments.

Only a week to go until we'll be filling Kesgrave Scout Hall full of craft supplies, all looking for new homes at bargain prices.

Come along on Saturday (28th February) between 10am and 1pm. Free entry.

The committee of Cake and Revolution are devastated at the change in the membership rules. On 1st April, we will be asked to exclude friends from the WI. We have always been an inclusive space for all women and the consequences of the decision hurt.

We are seeking advice on the announcement and further information to enable us to support our membership.

We stand with all women, including trans women.

Calling all sewers and knitters

We've had a request for help from Ipswich Hospital and wonder if anyone can help.

Their Butterfly Volunteer Service give blankets and syringe driver bags, as gifts of kindness at the end of life for those receiving palliative care in hospital.

Individual and colourful blankets are given to paliative patients, as a way of wrapping them up in a gift of love from another. The blankets need to be without holes big enough for venflons/catheters to get caught on and 45cm x 46 cm in size, bigger if you like.

The bags are made of cotton, lined and simple in design 30 cm in length 21 cm wide with a handle 4 cm wide and 40 cm long. Inside is a small piece of velcro to stop the machine falling out, 7cm along the opening edge.

The bags and blankets will need to be from smoke and pet free homes, due to possible allergies.

Our members enjoyed a creative meeting this month, although we may not be in a hurry to apply for the next series of Bake Off, we were left inspired to have a go at festive baking at home.

We have space for new members and guests are always welcome. The next meeting is on Thursday 18th December at 7.30pm and if you'd like to come along for an evening of festive fun we'd love to hear from you, drop us an email at [email protected]
