Don't forget on Monday afternoon from 1pm we have a double bill. While enjoying a coffee and a cake, come along and chat to Natalie from Health Watch who'll be asking about your experiences with health and social care - doctors, hospitals etc and feeding those experiences back to help improve our services.
From 2pm-3pm, we have the British Red Cross coming along to deliver an emergency basic first aid awareness course.
Don't miss the opportunity to have your say about our health and social care services in our area nd then learn some basic first aid - it could help to save lives.

Local residents got to meet our newly elected Councillors for Houghton South and Hetton Downs Cllr Jonathon Emerson , Cllr Heather Finlay & Cllr Michael Quigley this afternoon as part of our bingo, brew and brilliant advice activity and have a great chat, discussing lots of topical issues. Thanks also to Councillor Thomas for coming along to support our Community Centre.

Thanks so much to the Employability Team from Community Opportunities - YOUTH & PLAY for coming along to our coffee session this afternoon to speak to local residents about their exciting programmes they are running for 12-25 year olds.

Next Monday at 1pm , our newly elected councillors for Houghton South and Hetton Downs (Cllr Finlay, Cllr Emerson and Cllr Quigley will be coming along to introduce themselves and have a chat. Come along, have a cuppa and a bit of banter and meet our new councillors.

Don't let the ☔ put you off coming along to the Community Centre today. We've got lots going on:
10am-12noon indoor carpet bowls
1-3pm ☕, a cake and Community Opportunities - YOUTH & PLAY Employability Team will be coming along to discuss their exciting courses for 12-16 year olds and to talk about how they can support 16-25 year olds move closer to the labour market and into employment.
5.30-7.30pm After School Youthy.

Next Monday, as part of our NEW FREE weekly activity, Community Opportunities - YOUTH & PLAY Employability Team will be coming along at 1pm to talk to parents/grandparents and to young people aged 16-25 about their exciting 3 strand programme :
For 12-14 year olds they are running their 'Connecting Futures Programme' which is aimed at helping children to start thinking about their futures positively with arranged visits to local employers such as Nissan plus lots more support.
For 14-16 year olds the aim is to help teenagers understand their next steps after school and a programed tailored to support individual needs.

For 16-25 (NEET Programme) is aimed at getting young people ready for the future: confidence building, training options, CV and interview support to help look for work.
This is a great opportunity to come along and speak to the experts, have a cuppa and a
🎂 and meet local people.
