It is with great sadness I have to pass on the sad news that former Federation Chairman, Ann Clark died on Saturday 12 October.
Ann joined the WI at the age of 18 and was President of Marley Hill WI , and was a long standing member of Whickham Fellside ,she became Federation Chairman in 1999 and retired from post in 2004. Ann was a huge supporter of the WI and I personally have fond memories of how supportive she was when I became Federation Chairman .
I have passed on our condolences to Ann’s family may she rest in peace.
The funeral arrangements are not finalised yet but Ann’s husband Dave has said that members who knew Ann would be welcome to the service and afterwards. Once we have the details they will be passed onto members, if you know anyone who would have known Ann and doesn’t use FB please pass on this message.
