Today, our First Steps toddler group families, were kindly invited to celebrate at St Michael and All Angels - Hughenden Parish Church, for a teddy bears picnic organised by Mothers' Union (Oxford diocese). Barbara and the team from Mothers Union have supported us in many different ways but today it was great to be part of their family group. Thank you to Barbara and Helen, the associate minister, at the church for the invitation and all the volunteers there that prepared and baked an amazing array of nibbles and cakes. We enjoyed the singing and puppet show too!
Did you now that Mothers Union have just celebrated their 150th year of faith in action and held an anniversary service yesterday at St Paul's Cathedral in London.

Yesterday, Kim, our Community Support Manager, dropped off some 0–6m baby clothes from our children’s clothes bank to in Bucks, who were having a sorting session in High Wycombe. Working with the amazing Amanda and Alison at KIB means we can share donations of clothes and baby items, ensuring they go to families in need and are saved from landfill. Kim spent an hour helping to sort and tidy while chatting with the amazing team of volunteers there. Kim was also able to take back a bag of older children’s clothes.

True community spirit is when we all work together. 💛

Continuing our theme of celebrating our wonderful volunteers, our children's clothes bank has proved to be a huge success, 47 families attended last Friday's open morning, and is not possible without our amazing team of volunteers. They collect, gather, tidy, sort, clean, bag, guide, support and help, a sea of yellow in these images! Thank you to you all.
Not forgetting lovely Janice and Barbara from the South Bucks Children's Book Group who give out books to children on our open mornings.

Come and join us at our community café tomorrow from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, where we will be serving Pasta Salad and Garlic Bread.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

We're running very short of plastic bags whilst we navigate a new ordering process with our usual supplier.

We are delighted to have support of our donor covering purchasing bags - but to minimise waste and encourage recycling, we always appreciate donations.

Please if you have saved clean, carrier bags that we can use to pack client parcels - these are welcomed. Currently, we're getting through over 1000 bags a week.

Feel free to drop them in supermarket donation cages or ideally, to our warehouse on Duke Street, High Wycombe.

We're so excited to have the opportunity to double donations during the Big Give's Small Charity Week, 22-29 June.

Our target:

- Raise £7.5K in online donations
- Big Give will double our money
- Potential to raise £15K in total
- £15K will partially fund our vital Community Support Worker for a year

We'll share the link to donate next week in time for it going live on Monday 22 June.
