Last weekend, thanks to help from local residents, 4,000 purple crocus corms were planted on a bank in North Hertford. We expect them to flower year after year, raising and maintaining awareness of Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign. Thanks to everyone who participated.

We maxed out on 13 tables at our October quiz evening. As usual, our quiz masters Pam and Carl ensured we all enjoyed a thoroughly entertaining evening. The generosity of many Hertford businesses assembled a bumper crop of raffle prizes. Thank you to everyone who supported us and participated in the fun.

The Dictionary 4 Life program is a global literacy initiative run by Rotary International with clubs donating free Usborne Illustrated Dictionary reference books to primary school children.
Earlier this month, Rotary Club of Hertford was made very welcome when visiting St. Andrew CofE Primary School to present all year 6 pupils with their own dictionaries. They now belong to the children to use both at school and at home.
