Holmer Parish Church - St Bartholomew

Holmer Parish Church - St Bartholomew Holmer is a lively welcoming church to the north of Hereford. We aim to show the love of Jesus. Holmer Parish church stands on the A49 (North) leaving Hereford.

It has been part of the local community for over 800 years. Although it is a beautiful, grade 1 listed, mediaeval building, it has level access, wheelchair space, a 'loop' system, baby changing facilities & toilets for the disabled. Services are projected on a screen and we also have large print Service booklets and Mission Praise hymnbooks. 11am Services are modern (Common Worship) and attract pe

ople of all ages. Children and Young people meet in their CYPECS groups after a short time in Church.

Our Busy Bee's toddler group is back tomorrow morning and afternoon. £2 per session.

As I sit here in Holmer Church this morning, thanking God for my own journey of faith but also for the amazing people of our parish's own journeys as well.

The light streaming through the stained glasses reminded me of the flame of the Holy Spirit that we celebrate in our Pentecost service at 11am in Holmer and 9:30 at Huntingdon and St Mary's Grandstand Road.

Today is the birthday of the Church as the early disciples received the promised Holy Spirit. Maranatha come Holy Spirit.
