Mediation Hertfordshire Mediation Hertfordshire offers help to neighbours in dispute, to employees and colleagues in the wor We focus mainly on neighbour disputes.

We are a not for profit organisation offering mediation and conflict resolution services to the residents of Hertfordshire. We offer workplace mediation to small businesses and local organisations. We are currently involved in a scheme training children in local schools to become peer mediators. They will then help other children in the school resolve arguments before they can escalate into more s

erious situations. We have a team of 35 highly trained volunteers, some with backgrounds in law, counselling and social work. Mediators are impartial and they aim to empower the individuals they are mediating with. We have received lots of positive feedback but are always looking for ways to improve our services. If there are any suggestions or people who would like to know more we would welcome your ideas.

Announcement from Mediation Hertfordshire's Manager, Sherril Franklin:
"One of our longest-serving Trustees, Julie Still, sadly left us after 23 years of service.

Julie is one of the kindest, most caring and empathetic people I have had the pleasure to work with and it was sad to say farewell but I hope that she fills her retirement with good holidays, her precious grandchildren and lots of travel.

Julie is one in a million and we are going to miss her dreadfully. She lit up every room she walked in. Although nobody is irreplaceable Julie certainly breaks that sentiment.

Julie – carry on being you, you are just perfect in every way."

Mediation Hertfordshire is delighted to have received £50,000 in funding thanks to Postcode Lottery UK players to help resolve conflict across . We are incredibly grateful to every one of the whose support makes this possible, enabling us to continue helping resolve conflict in our communities.

Mediation Hertfordshire is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1998. In 2018, we were awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and were named National Mediation Provider of the Year in 2022 and 2023. We have a team of fully trained, accredited and DBS-checked volunteers who generously give their time to help people find positive ways to resolve disputes and rebuild relationships within the communities in which they live.
