With harsh winter weather on the horizon, we're asking for your help to ensure some of the local people we support can stay warm and safe during the coldest months of the year ❄️

We are currently looking for men's winter coats in good condition. If you have a coat that you no longer need, donating it could make a real difference for someone facing hardship 💛

📍 Please drop off donations at The Elms, Redbourn Rd, Hemel HP2 7AZ (open 24/7)

It’s truly alarming to see the scale of food poverty across the UK, as revealed this week by Trussell.

At our local Foodbank, demand has also surged. In fact, throughout the year, the stock we have given out in our emergency parcels has significantly outweighed what we have received from donations.

This has resulted in stock levels running urgently low across several essential items that we ordinarily provide to individuals and families in need.

If you can help, please consider donating some of our lowest stock items to ensure we can continue providing a vital lifeline for local people in crisis.

⛰️ Last weekend, our CEO, Wendy, took on the National Three Peaks Challenge alongside fellow charity leders, celebrating the power of collaboration while raising vital funds to help DENS continue supporting local people facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.

We're delighted to report that Wendy successfully conquered all three peaks! It was no easy feat, with tough climbs, long hours and sheer determination required every step of the way, making her achievement all the more impressive. 👏
