We had a meeting with parents and children of the Rahula Trust to discuss the educational progress of the sponsored students in Matara, Hambanthota, Kalutara and Colombo district. Most Venerable Mapalagama Buddhasiri Nayaka Thera, Head of the Samadhi Buddhist Centre kindly arranged this mèting.

We met and inspected education progress of sponsored students of the Rahula Trust in Galle, Matara and Hambanthota district on 2nd and 3rd December 2024.

Although weather in Sri Lanka is not favourable for travelling due to rain and storm we managed to visit Mo/Galgamuwa Secondary school and Primary school on 27th December 2024. The Rahula Trust donated school accessories for 259 students who are living with economic hardship. We travel 160 kilometres to reach Galgamuwa Vidyalaya in Wellassa Galgamuwa Vidyalaya in Monaragala district. Those children were very happy with the school accessories they received to start their studies new year. Our sincere thanks to all those individuals work hard to make this event successful.
