If you have ever wanted to try your hand at ceramics and are looking for fun ways to spend your weekend then Ceramic Saturdays will be perfect for you.

Led by resident maker Kelly Ottesen, our Ceramics Saturdays will take you on an exploratory journey through the work of ceramics where you will learn a range of technical and experimental processes. On the first Saturday you will do all the making ready to be bisque fired. On the second Saturday you will be ready to experiment and glaze all of your creations ready for the second and final firing. All work will need to be collected at a later date. Price match our continued learning so £160 per block

Block 4 or this course will run on Saturday 6 June and Saturday 20 June 10-3.30pm (with a half hour lunch break). Light refreshments provided but you will be able to pop to the shops.

We have an exciting guest workshop coming upon June 12

Build a terrarium with Clare from Dinky Plants at Making Space in Havant. In this 90 minute workshop you will create your very own enclosed mini garden. You will be provided with a glass terrarium, all materials and a range of plants and decorative objects to complete your terrarium, along with a history lesson and aftercare instructions.

- This workshop is suitable for children 12+.
- Under 18’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

This will run 6pm-7.30pm

With the sunshine on its way, we’re getting excited for our Hampshire Open Studios event this August

We’re currently looking for talented makers and small businesses to join us and be part of this vibrant summer event.

At Hampshire Open Studios, we’ll be showcasing selected makers through a beautifully curated display in our Corridor Shop, as well as promoting participants across our website and social media channels. It’s a great opportunity to take part in Hampshire Open Studios without needing to be there in person.

To be involved, there is a £15 pitch fee and 30% commission.

We’re especially keen to feature printmakers across our site, so if that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!

Craft Club is back this May half term — and it’s going to be a blast!

Got a crafty kid aged 7–14? Bring them along for a fun, hands-on workshop packed with creativity, colour, and imagination.

We’ll be diving into all sorts of exciting activities — from papercraft and stitching to air-dry clay creations. It’s the perfect chance for kids to get creative, try something new, and make something they’re proud of.

Make your very own bespoke jewellery with expert tutor Sharon Justice

Learn how to use tools and techniques to shape metal into your own jewellery

Our Jewellery Courses allow you to follow your own creative projects with expert guidance on hand from Sharon. If you are a complete beginner you will need to book a 121 induction with Sharon first where she can teach you all the basics before you book onto our Jewellery Course.

We’re delighted to share that Making Space is developing plans for a new craft studio at the Station House in Rowlands Castle.

For almost 20 years, our studio in Leigh Park has supported makers and creative projects, offering workshops in gilding, kintsugi, shibori, silver clay, ceramics, millinery and more. Our hope is to bring a similar space to Rowlands Castle, with makers’ studios and craft classes for the local community.

A big thank you to Hampshire Community Rail Partnership, Network Rail, South Western Railway, Railway Heritage Trust, East Hampshire District Council, Garfield Weston Foundation and Arts Council England for making this possible.

Spend an enjoyable 3hrs exploring fused glass and what's possible with this fascinating craft form. Learn how to cut your own glass pieces to reflect your own design and create colourful suncatchers to hang in your windows at home. All work will be fired after the session and will need to be collected at a later date.

Great for beginners and those looking to improve their skills.
