The next term of our Continued Learning courses begins at the end of September. We run 5/10 week inspiring courses in Jewellery, Silver Clay and Ceramics. These are brilliant courses for beginners to experienced makers. A perfect chance to make something from nothing, learn new skills and meet other craft enthusiasts.

Here’s your chance to meet the makers who run these courses and the type of work they like to create.

Sharon Justice leads our Jewellery Course

Sharon is a designer/jeweller, working predominantly in silver, she uses diverse techniques ranging from forging, roller printing and etching to woven metals. Often surface decoration, semi-precious stones, patination, and gold are used to accent her work.

A new term of our Continued Learning Courses starts on September 22. There is still time to book onto these fantastic 5/10 week courses and make time for making.

Craft Club is returning in October!

We are having a refresh and now the sessions are aimed at families rather than just children staying by themselves. We would love to invite you and 5-14 year old kids to get making with us.

We will provide all the equipment and materials and you just need to bring yourselves and your imagination. These workshops will be lots of fun and great for kids and guardians working together to explore crafts. Come and spend some quality time together.

The session will run 29 October 10am-12noon

In this session we will be exploring spooky makes! Come along and get ready for tricks and treats and make some fantastic Halloween decorations!

It costs £12.50 for child and adult and then £2.50 for each additional person.

As part of our Hampshire Open Studios events we have been hosting some fantastic workshops

Today has seen Sharon Justice show people how to make jewellery with cuttlefish casting

Using the cuttlefish participants carved a design into the soft material and the cast it using pewter

A fascinating process to learn and a unique start creating your own designs!

There’s still more fun to be had at Making Space this open studios. We are open from 10am-3pm until the end of day Thursday!
