🌟 Help shape the future of Scouts in East Lancashire
Scouts gives young people the chance to try new things, make friends, learn skills, get outdoors, and discover what they’re capable of.
Behind all of that is a Board of Trustees making sure we’re well run, safe, financially strong, and ready for whatever comes next.
And now, we’re looking for new people to join our team;
✅ 4 Trustee vacancies
✅ 2 places for young people aged 14 to 18 to join our Board conversations
This year, our trustee opportunities are open wider than ever.
You don’t need to already be in Scouts to apply.
You don’t need to live in, or come from, a particular Scout District.
You just need to care about giving young people brilliant opportunities across East Lancashire.
If you’re successful, you’ll become a member of Scouts as part of becoming a trustee.
We’re also looking for two young people aged 14 to 18 to be part of the Board. They won’t be formal voting trustees, but they will be right there in the room, helping us make better decisions by making sure young people’s voices are heard.
Our open selection process explains how it all works and gives you a place to apply: https://www.eastlancashirescouts.org.uk/members/governance/
Applications close on Friday 5th June.
Whether you know Scouts inside out, or you’re looking at us for the very first time, this could be your chance to help give more young people a place to belong.
Could you be one of the people around the table?
