*Eid Al Adha Announcement*

All praises are to Allāh, the Most Kind and the Most Merciful, and may His peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ).

‎إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ we will be celebrating Eid Al Adha tomorrow, Wednesday 27 May 2026. We will be holding one Eid Salah and the timing is shown below:

Please arrive promptly and, if driving, park your vehicles safely and considerately, with due care for other motorists and local residents.

Upon entering the Masajid, kindly fill the front rows first by sitting in the Safs. Please avoid sitting near or blocking the entrances and exits, as this causes difficulty and inconvenience for others entering and leaving.

We kindly request that the main hall downstairs is filled first. If there is no space available downstairs, please proceed upstairs to the main hall area.

We especially ask everyone to show patience and consideration towards our elders and young children. Please allow our elders to exit safely and comfortably, and continue to follow the one-way system to help avoid congestion and ensure a smooth flow of people.

Finally, we kindly request everyone to make full use of the shoe racks provided. Shoes left around entrances and walkways have become a serious trip hazard, particularly for our elders and children.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your cooperation and understanding.

May Allah SWT accept our Qurbani, prayers and 'ibadah and allow us to reach a state of devotion and 'ibadah...

*The Day of Arafat / Hajj*

All praises are to Allāh, the Most Kind and the Most Merciful, and may His peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ).

The Day of Arafat is one of the most blessed days of the year and holds immense virtue in Islam. It falls on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah and is the day when Allah SWT perfected the religion and completed His favour upon the believers.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafat.” (Muslim)

For those not performing Hajj, fasting on this day is highly recommended. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Fasting on the Day of Arafat expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.” (Muslim)

Let us increase in:
• Dua and sincere repentance
• Dhikr and remembrance of Allah
• Sending Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ
• Recitation of the Qur’an
• Charity and good deeds

Take advantage of these blessed moments before Eid and ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, and acceptance.

May Allah accept the ibadat of all those performing Hajj and grant us all the blessings of this sacred day.

*Qurbani*

All praises are to Allāh, the Most Kind and the Most Merciful, and may His peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ).

Masjid & Madrassa Islamia - MMI Charity is carrying out its annual Qurbani Project this year in partnership with Rise Support and Stepping Stones Charity. The price of Qurbani is based on the country.

As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, let us revive the beautiful Sunnah of Qurbani, a sacrifice that reflects obedience, sincerity, and devotion to Allah SWT.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him.”
(Surah Al-Hajj 22:37)

Qurbani is the Sunnah of our father Ibrahim (AS), who submitted completely to the command of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The son of Adam does not do any action on the Day of Nahr more beloved to Allah than shedding blood (of sacrificial animal).”
(Tirmidhi)

This Eid, fulfil your Qurbani and share its blessings with the poor, needy, and struggling families. Your sacrifice can bring joy, food, and hope to those who rarely enjoy a proper meal.

May Allah accept our Qurbani, our intentions, and our worship. Ameen.

*Important dates: 1st Dhul Hijjah/Day of Arafat/Eid Al Adha*

All praises are due to Allāh, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful. We ask Allāh to send His peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ.

“Allāh intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.” (Qur’an 2:185)

Following the positive moon sightings in Tumair and Sudair on Sunday 17th May 2026, the following dates have been confirmed for Dhul Hijjah 1447:

‎إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ

Allāh SWT says:

“So that they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the Name of Allāh during the appointed days…” (Qur’an 22:28)

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allāh than these ten days.”
(Sahib al-Bukhārī)

He ﷺ also said:

“Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
(Sahih Muslim)

We encourage everyone to increase in prayer, dhikr, recitation of the Qur’an, charity, and fasting during these blessed days.
