The Squirrels were delighted to receive a visit from scout Freya on Thursday who came to tell them all about the World Scout Jamboree. She also ran an activity to make chalk which they really enjoyed. We are pleased to make a donation to Freya's fundraising for her trip as a thank you for giving up her time.

If anyone is able to donate towards Freya's fundraising for her once in a lifetime trip to the World Scout Jamboree 2027, please find below a link to her Go Fund Me page. She is also running lots of events and a weekly tuck shop in our section meetings to help raise the money she requires.

Would you like the chance to win up to £100 every 4 weeks. If so, our 100 club is just the thing for you!

The 100 club is one of the major fundraising activities which our scout group relies on to be able to provide fun and adventurous activities for 4-14 years old. With no external funding we are reliant on raising these funds ourselves.

Please drop us a message if you would be interested in purchasing a number at a cost of £4 every 4 weeks and we will share the details on how to get involved.

This weekend our Group Lead Volunteer, Michael will be at Windsor Castle receiving his Silver Wolf Award. This is the top award that can be achieved in Scouting, and highlights the many contributions Michael has provided not only in scouting but also to the local community. We would like to take this moment to congratulate him on this well deserved achievement. Thank you for all you have done for 109th Loyola over the years.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to support Bill's Memory Walk on Saturday. The walk took us from White Ash Brook Care Home to 109th Loyola Scout HQ and back, and was raising money for Dementia UK and our scout group. The event raised over £500 which will be much appreciated by both these charities.

Last week, the cubs were treated to a visit from the fantastic volunteers from Guide Dogs UK who ran lots of fun and engaging activities to help them work towards their disability awareness badge. Well done to all the cubs for also working hard on jobs around the house to raise £68 for donating to support the work of Guide Dogs UK.
