We can't wait! 🎉

Altså det blir jo ✨den✨ folkefesten i juli når hele Vågen blir et festivalområde fylt med musikk, aktiviteter for store og små, og skikkelig skutestemning, under The Tall Ships Races 🎉

Festivalprogrammet er nå klart, og 22. til 25. juli kan du oppleve gratis konserter med Morten Abel, Kapteinen, Open Port Songs med Inger Lise Hope, Rita Eriksen, Randi Tytingvåg, Britt-Synnøve Johansen, Edel, Maria Toresen og Hanne Vasshus, og mange flere regionale artister 🎶

I tillegg blir det teater, håndverk, familieaktiviteter, vikinger, pirater, dykking, matopplevelser og kystkultur, spredt ut langs hele havneområdet, side om side med over 40 imponerende seilskuter.

At Sail Training International, we recognise the crucial role that our oceans play in our daily lives. Today, we celebrate the significance of our oceans and reaffirm our commitment as a charity to try to protect and preserve them.

Through The Tall Ships Races we empower young people to become champions of the seas. Our oceans inspire the incredible trainees we welcome onboard each year.

📢 Reminder: Funding applications are now open!

The Youth Development Fund, The Canada Legacy Fund and The Research Fund, are all open for applications via our website.

If you are interested in applying, but are unsure if your project meets the funding criteria, you can submit an Expression of Interest initial application. All you need to do is provide a summary of your proposed project, which will then be reviewed by the funding committee.

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT A FULL APPLICATION FOR FUNDING IS 30TH SEPTEMBER 2026.

Every year, we’re inspired by the incredible people, programmes and vessels, making a difference through sail training, both during The Tall Ships Races and beyond.

Our Annual Awards shine a spotlight on those outstanding contributions, and now it’s your chance to get involved!

This is your opportunity to recognise and celebrate those who go above and beyond - whether an inspiring individual, a dedicated volunteer, or an exceptional organisation. You are also very welcome to nominate your own organisation where appropriate.

Last week, the team visited Aalborg for the final port planning visit ahead of The Tall Ships Races 2026.

It was an inspiring couple of days, offering a fantastic glimpse into the exciting programme Aalborg are planning for the finale of The Tall Ships Races 2026 at the end of July.

We can’t wait to return and welcome the fleet, trainees, and crews very soon! 🎆⛵
