2nd June 2026, 20 Gosport Society Members joined a tour of Fort Blockhouse, enabling us to view the many historical buildings, including William Wyllie painting in The former Officers Mess, the iconic Submariners Chapel, which is a poignant reminder of all service personnel who gave their lives in their service to this country.

Great News!
The Historic Diving Museum at Battery No2 at Stokes Bay Gosport is re-opening tomorrow 29th May 2026.
Opening Time 11am to 4pm.
Also Open Sunday 30th - 11am to 4pm.

From 5th June the museum will open Friday to Sundays -11am-4pm.

The museum has undergone major improvements, new disabled access, new displays which extend into the whole internal areas of Battery No2.

The Historic Diving Museum, which has undergone major restoration, providing much improved facilities for this world renowned museum.

Gosport Society have donated £800.00 towards the exterior maintenance of exhibits, including the repainting of the boundary fencing, paint supplied for the Historic Diving Museums band of volunteers!

Blue Bells at Little Woodham Living Village today.
Gosport Society have been pleased to donate £800.00 towards re-thatching works on the village buildings being undertaken this year.
