Our Speakers meeting at St Lukes Church, Royal Haslar yesterday was very well attended in conjunction with Haslar Heritage Group.
Richard Osgoods MOD Archaelogist gave an impressive presentation of the research still progressing on the site, the information of the Prison Hulks and the conditions of the Convicts awaiting transportation came to life!
On behalf of Richard's we jointly collected £286.38 for his Veterans Charity.

2nd June 2026, 20 Gosport Society Members joined a tour of Fort Blockhouse, enabling us to view the many historical buildings, including William Wyllie painting in The former Officers Mess, the iconic Submariners Chapel, which is a poignant reminder of all service personnel who gave their lives in their service to this country.

Great News!
The Historic Diving Museum at Battery No2 at Stokes Bay Gosport is re-opening tomorrow 29th May 2026.
Opening Time 11am to 4pm.
Also Open Sunday 30th - 11am to 4pm.

From 5th June the museum will open Friday to Sundays -11am-4pm.

The museum has undergone major improvements, new disabled access, new displays which extend into the whole internal areas of Battery No2.
