Today, we piled up 885 fake bloodied foxes in Cardiff city centre to highlight the shocking scale of illegal hunting that continues across Wales and England.

Each fox represented a report we've received of a fox being chased by hunts since the general election.

Today in Cardiff, we laid out 885 foxes, each one representing a report we've received of a fox being chased by hunts since the general election.

Despite the hunting ban, foxes continue to be chased and killed across Wales and England. Trail hunting is used as a smokescreen to conceal these crimes and allow hunts to continue operating.

Yesterday, our head of intelligence attended a roundtable at the UK Home Office to discuss catapult crime.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders to examine the impact of catapult-related offences and explore opportunities for stronger enforcement and prevention measures.

Our Head of Intelligence also chairs Operation Lakeshot, a multi-agency initiative focused on tackling catapult crime and protecting wildlife from this form of abuse.

Through Operation Lakeshot and our wider monitoring work, we are seeing an increasing number of incidents involving catapult crime being shared and discussed on social media, highlighting the need for continued action to tackle this form of wildlife persecution.
