We recently met up with some of our wonderful Trustees, for a planning session in Hungerford. While there, we saw a fascinating habitat enhancement project that has been undertaken by our friends at ARK - Action for the River Kennet 💧🐟

Thank you to Rupert Kelton from ARK, for braving the heat to show us around. We've been lucky enough to work with his team on many river projects, and we always learn a lot from each other!

So good to see dedication rewarded!

Fantastic news: George Seligman, one of our amazing Trustees, has been awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours, in recognition of his services to the environment.

Before retiring in 2012, George enjoyed a 38-year career as a corporate lawyer with Slaughter and May. Since then, he has devoted his time to farming in the Test Valley and supporting a wide range of charitable and environmental causes.

Our Chair, Simon Francis, said of the news: "George has actively and tirelessly led the regeneration of trout and river habitats - both with our charity and other NGOs, and in a private capacity. It's fitting and heartening that his efforts have been recognised with an MBE, showing that trout, their habitats, and those who conserve them are nationally important."

From everyone at the Wild Trout Trust, many congratulations to George (pictured below with his wife Veronique) on this well-deserved honour!

Really excited to be in the latest edition of the The Wild Trout Trust annual journal.
SALMO TRUTTA!

They have done a double page spread all about The River Project.
We have received amazing support from The Wild Trout Trust for this project over the years.

We wanted to say a massive thank you to the them and Jon Grey for helping us spread the word.

The River Project aims to ignite the audience’s passion for a cause and motivate them to make a difference - living greener lives with stronger connections to, and respect for, the natural world.
