We are extremely grateful to Project Spark for funding two of our 2026 Teen Garden cohorts, supporting 16 local young people over 12 weeks who are struggling with stress, anxiety or low mental wellbeing.
Project Spark is a charity that supports imaginative projects which directly benefit children and young people facing difficult or challenging circumstances, helping to make their future brighter. We’re particularly grateful that they saw the value in what we’re doing here at GreenHub and chose to support our young people.
For some teenagers, school can feel overwhelming, pressured or isolating. Our garden sessions offer something very different: a calm, supportive space where they can step away from the noise, breathe, get their hands in the soil and simply be themselves.
Through gardening, nature and time outdoors, they have the opportunity to slow down, build confidence, develop new skills and experience the sense of achievement that comes from nurturing something and watching it grow.
It might look like gardening, but the impact goes far beyond the garden. These sessions provide connection, routine and a safe space to pause and reset — helping young people feel more grounded and reminding them that they are capable of far more than they sometimes believe.
Project Spark’s support is helping us make these opportunities possible for local teenagers who really need them.
Thank you, Project Spark, for believing in what we do and investing in the young people in our community. 💚
