A huge congratulations to all of our talented young photographers who took part in this year's Winkworth Junior Photography Competition.

🏆 Our overall winner is Isobel, whose delightful photograph of autumn leaves captured the judges' attention with its beauty and creativity. Well done, Isobel!

Congratulations also to our runners-up, Alice and Eliana, whose beautiful images featuring bluebells were highly praised by the judging panel.

Thank you to everyone who entered and shared their wonderful photographs with us. We were delighted by the creativity, enthusiasm and eye for nature shown by all participants.

In our second video from Film Production and Broadcast Engineering students from University of Surrey, Head Gardener, Graham Alderton, talks about the Arboretum and the planting around the new facilities and embedding it within the landscape.

Much of the work took place a few months ago, and the new planting around the building now looks great. Well done to Graham and his team and thanks to Surrey University for this unique collaboration.

Our new welcome centre opens this Monday, 15 June. Come and check it out.

Earlier this year, we reached out to Film Production and Broadcast Engineering students from University of Surrey to help produce video content about the new visitor facilities at Winkworth Arboretum. This turned into a professional development project that would become part of their coursework. We are delighted that this collaboration has provided a valuable work experience opportunity and we thank the students Mahir, Oscar, Dom, Jacob, and course leader, Susan Pratt for their efforts in creating these videos.

In this first video, they interview National Trust, Project Manager, Laura Vearncombe, about the new visitor facilities.

Our new Welcome Centre is officially open from Monday 15 June. Come and check it out.

📸 Congratulations to the winners of our Winkworth Photographer of the Year competition!

This year's theme, Vibrant Nature, inspired so many wonderful entries, and we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part. We loved seeing Winkworth through your eyes, and with so many striking images submitted, choosing the winners was no easy task.

🏆 Our overall winner in the adult category is Mark Rolfe, whose stunning photograph captures sunlight filtering through the acers as they blaze with autumn colour. A beautiful moment that perfectly reflects the vibrant beauty of the Arboretum.

Runner-up Catherine Allum impressed us with a breathtaking image of bluebells, capturing the magic of spring in full bloom.

And congratulations to Emma Bradley, last year's winner, whose wonderful photograph of the Acers in autumn earned her a well-deserved runner-up place too!

Thank you to everyone who entered and shared your love of Winkworth. Your photographs showcase the changing seasons, rich colours and special moments that make this place so memorable throughout the year.
