We are the Vikings - a fun loving group of likeminded individuals with a passion for survival, bushcraft & outdoor skills, served up with a Viking theme. We can offer variety of lessons and sessions in Bushcraft, Tomahawk & Angel throwing, Archery, Spoon Carving, Knife Safety Skills, Pyrography, Leather Craft, Fire skills, and much more. As part of the Birtley Woodland Community, we have a base in

the beautiful woodland space at Birtley House in Bramley, Surrey. But if you are interested in learning new skills, or improving ones you already have, please do get in touch to discuss arranging a private session. Our 2025 Workshops and Events:

Whether you see the start of spring as the 1st of March or a little later on the equinox (20th) - signs of the new season and a bit of sunshine are here finally....a perfect time of year to join us to learn how to spoon carve here in the woods at Birtley. We've had a fantastic day here at the Surrey Hills Woodfair. We're here again tomorrow running axe throwing, archery, and knife skills (all free for kids) ..plus make a smore for £1 if you've got a sweet tooth. We're under the parachute, over by the diggers. Lots to see and do here. See you tomorrow?

Kids’ Action Time! Climb the rock wall, fire arrows at archery, try your hand at axe-throwing, drive a digger, climb a tree, ride the Shire horse-drawn wagon, join bug hunts, listen to captivating stories, get your face painted—and much more! There’s something for every young explorer at the Surrey Hills Wood Fair.
