Achieving the impossible dream... new students from very impoverished circumstances, sponsored by us and joining their universities - Glory & Dennis, Mt Kenya University, studying BA Ed; Martin going to Kenya Medical Training College for a Diploma in Nursing: and, Naomi doing BA Ed at Chuka University.
We know these students will work at their very best - will qualify... and will give back to their community and their country.

Lunch is served.... to over 1,800 primary school kids in 9 local schools... it brings them in to school, giving them energy to concentrate on their school work... raising individual and overall school academic performances...

The most recent case brought to us: Immaculate (left), aged 15, is very bright, coming top of her primary school in the National Exams prior to leaving primary education. As secondary education is expensive, she had no chance of advancing her education. Her Mum (right) was abandoned by her husband and is blind. We are now sponsoring Immaculate at a high performing secondary school, where she again is proving her academic abilities.
It costs only £20 a month to sponsor a secondary pupil like Immaculate https://www.justgiving.com/charity/stpeters-lifeline to donate. 🙏🙏

The 'Virtuous Circle' - we have taken Kenneth and Mutuma all the way through to Teacher Training Colleges. They have now both successfully completed their courses. They formally graduate in May, but in the meantime they want to come back to St Peter's Primary school and start teaching. As well as employing their newly acquired skills, they will also be strong role models, and a visible demonstration of what can be achieved by those from an impoverished background.

School's out - It's holiday time!
Wishing all pupils and teachers a very relaxing holidays! The last (3rd) term of the academic year starts on 24 Aug.
The long holidays in Kenya are Nov/Dec during the rainy season, when all hands are put to work tilling, planting, weeding... to bring on the harvest.
