Thank you to all of you who attended our Conker Duck Race. We hope you enjoyed it, it was glorious weather. Congratulations to the overall winner Nancy Uphill from the village, with the winning duck. We raised £1400 which will be put towards local charities and village projects. Thank you again.

This coming Monday 6th April we kick the Conker Committee season off with the annual duck race. Registration from 12.00pm, first race 13.00pm, limited to 150 entries, but this year we have a new feature of being able to place a bet on your favorite duck on the Tote. Hot food available. Who will be this years Champion?? You would be Quackers to miss it!

Its here! The big event that you have all been waiting for! The Witham Friary Conker Championships 2025. On Sunday 19th October at the Seymour Arms. Registration from 12.00 - 13.00pm. Our next Conker Committee event, the Witham Friary Village family sports day! Saturday 5th July at 2.30 pm - teams of 3-6, seven games to suit all ages. Followed by Fish n Chips and Live music from acoustic artist Adrian White at the Seymour Arms. All proceeds will go towards community projects or charity. To enter a team contact [email protected]

Update - A few months have now passed but can we thank everyone who supported the Witham Friary Duck Race, It was a great day and perfect weather for duck racing! We raised £1200 which we have already put to use with the much needed renovation of our village pump track in time for the summer ahead. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon at the Witham Friary Sports day on the Saturday 5th July!

On the eve of our first event of the year the Witham Duck Race, please take a look at a thank you letter received from last year's chosen charity. A big thank you to you all for supporting us and in turn we were able to support CLIC Young Lives versus Cancer and our own Witham Friary Village Hall. It's Spring time and there is only one event worth going to this Easter - Conker Committee's annual Witham Duck Race! Easter Monday 21st April. Registration at 12.00pm first ducks away at 13.00pm. £2 per entry or £3 for 5 ducks. Hot food available. All proceeds go to local projects or charities. We look forward to seeing you there.
