It is that time of year when our thoughts, while busy with autumn, half term & firework displays, start to turn towards Christmas.

For us at The Salvation Army Fordingbridge it is no different, and today we launch our Christmas Present Appeal 2026.

As in previous years we are grateful to have several drop off locations around the Fordingbridge area - please see the poster for details.

With this comes a call to all the wonderful residents of Fordingbridge, Alderholt and the surrounding villages.

When you are doing your Christmas shopping, please consider if you are able to buy an additional gift to donate to this appeal.

Within our community there are many families and individuals who may otherwise go without this Christmas. Gifts can be for adults and children. Last year we provided gifts to 46 adults and 72 children, and with costs still rising the need is likely to be greater again this year.

Please ensure all donated gifts are new and unwrapped.

If you are unsure what to donate, you can give financially to our JustGiving page (link in the comments) or via our website at www.salvationarmy,org,uk/fordingbridge.

We thank you in advance for your amazing generosity.

Give a gift, light up a life
