Our volunteers go the extra mile!! Our wonderful volunteer driver Jood took part in the London Marathon recently, finishing her first marathon in a very respectable 5 hours and 20 minutes!
You don't have to run to be a volunteer for 2 Bridges though, although our drivers have all sorts of hobbies and interests, you just need to have and drive a car, and an hour or two to spare to get local people to medical or health apoointments. We know how difficult it is to get about without your own or public transport, and, as one client said, 'I just wouldn't have been able to attend my treatment appointments without 2 Bridges'.. Jobs can fit round your life, (and running training of course!) and expenses are paid.

💡 How Citizens Advice Home & Well can connect people with practical support to stay healthy and secure at home.
They are offering a range of sessions on different days and times during the last week of November and the first week of December, so you can pick one that suits you.
Good Neighbours Network are guaranteeing that there will be something of practical value here for your household, or for the household of someone close to you.
These thirty minutes could protect a life — and help make our community a little warmer, safer and stronger this winter.

Last weekend the Two Bridges stand was at Damerham Fair. This time there was a photo competition of well known/and less well known landmarks in our area.

Two of our plucky volunteers, Colin and Tony, walked 15k in the Walk for Wards last weekend.

Tony says "We did it!

Colin and I completed the 15k Stars Appeal “Walk for Wards” for Salisbury Hospital yesterday.

We were there along with 2098 other walkers.

A great event around the grounds and woods of Wilton House.

Great atmosphere, good chats, good fun and a very worthy cause supporting the best hospital in our area.

At Frogham Fair we were joined by our friends from Hampshire Good Neighbours who demonstrated how to make music by passing a current from a piece of broccoli via two people, a carrot and various other fruit and veg!! 😀🥗

Are you looking for a voluntary role which is flexible and fits around you, based in the Fordingbridge area? We’re looking for volunteer drivers to join our team, taking folk from the Fordingbridge area (Sandleheath, Damerham, Martin, Alderholt, Godshill etc) who need transport to their health and medical appointments. We are a group of volunteers providing transport services to local hospitals, doctors, dentists etc for those who need it.
If you live in the areas Fordingbridge, Alderholt, Damerham, Godshill, Martin or Sandleheath, use the service by calling 07391 804222 between 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday, giving as much notice as possible, please!
