🧡 This week, some of our members from Hive Lancing enjoyed a lovely visit to Wakehurst.

They saw ducks, geese, goslings, beautiful sculptures and trees, and took part in a dementia-friendly guided talk led by the knowledgeable and welcoming staff.

A big thank you to Community Transport Sussex and driver David for helping make the trip so enjoyable.

Common Grounds Café at The Community Dementia Hive is hosting a Carers’ Coffee Morning on Wednesday 10th June from 10am to 1pm.

A relaxed and welcoming space to enjoy a hot drink, meet other carers and chat with people who understand.

🧡 As part of Dementia Action Week, the Community Dementia Hive were invited to take part in the next Dementia Strategy Engagement event to look at how our hospitals can improve dementia care and support.

It’s so important that people with lived experience are invited to help co-produce policies and are listened to.
