The Worthing Dementia Hub is working towards establishing Worthing as a truly Dementia Friendly Community working not just with people living with dementia and their carers but with the wider stakeholders who, working together, can improve the lives of people with dementia in the Worthing area.

We are deeply saddened by the news of Sir Patrick Stewart’s passing.

His journey with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia highlights the importance of dementia care and support.

At our Community Dementia Hives in Ferring and Lancing, we provide activities, friendship and a welcoming environment for peopl living with dementia, alongside support for their families and carers.

AN AMAZING £1,220 RAISED FOR COMMUNITY DEMENTIA HIVE!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Worthing Indian Cafe & Bar last night for our charity fundraiser!

The restaurant kindly donated £10 from every ticket, and together with our raffle, we raised a fantastic £1,220 towards Christmas activities for the people we support.

Special thanks to Melanie from Rocket Marketing for organising the evening, all our raffle donations to Jenna Hall for her fabulous singing, our wonderful team and everyone who came along to support us.

A fantastic evening with familiar faces and new supporters. Thank you all!

A fantastic day out at Amberley Museum for our Community Dementia Hive in Lancing!

We enjoyed a beautiful drive through the South Downs, an interactive talk, a vintage bus ride and a look at household items from years gone by. Some of those old electric fires were certainly an eye-opener!

Poor Bob even managed to get stuck in a bomb shelter with Kim!

We finished with a steam train ride and a lovely lunch before heading home.

Another fantastic visit to Enzo’s with our Be Active group.

Getting out, enjoying different places and staying connected to the community is such an important part of Be Active.

Enzo’s tailored a menu especially for our group and made sure everything was catered for, right down to the drinks. It’s support like this from local businesses that helps make our outings accessible for everyone.

A huge thank you to the team for making us so welcome.

There was plenty of conversation around the table as everyone got stuck in. Creative sessions give people at the Community Dementia Hive a chance to try something different and enjoy time together.
