Pompey Link is FREE tomorrow!

We're taking part in Portsmouth City Council's Clean Air Day where bus services will be free across all First Bus and Stagecoach services, as well as Pompey Link, if you're boarding anywhere in the Portsmouth boundary.

If you don’t usually travel by bus, this is a great chance to give it a try - whether it’s the school run, the journey to work, or a trip across the city.

Bus services in Portsmouth have improved over the past few years, with more frequent and reliable routes, better waiting areas and more accessible vehicles. More people are already making the switch, with over one million bus journeys taking place in the city every month. On 18 June, you can see for yourself how easy it is.

Try Pompey Link tomorrow entirely for free, find out more, including the app download links here: https://www.cfirst.org.uk/community-transport/pompey-link/

This , we’d like to introduce the team behind Volunteer First and the work they do supporting volunteers and communities across Hampshire, as well as the causes they support outside of work by volunteering!

For Jag, volunteering is far more than an activity. It is a lifelong commitment rooted in community, kindness, and supporting others.

Many people know Jag as a Lead Volunteering Service Coordinator, but outside of work he has volunteered since the age of 16 at his local Sikh Gurdwara in Portsmouth as a Sewadar, supporting others through acts of “Sewa”, the Sikh principle of selfless service.

Alongside her role as Volunteer Coordinator at Community First, Tanya also volunteers her time running ADHD & U CIC, a peer support community for adults living with ADHD.

Tanya started the group in 2023 after receiving her own ADHD diagnosis later in life. Following her diagnosis, she found there was very little aftercare or community support available for adults living with ADHD.

Alongside being part of the local volunteering team, Katy also dedicates much of her spare time to volunteering within grassroots youth football.

She volunteers as both a Club Secretary and a Divisional Secretary, helping to organise and support football opportunities for young people across the local area.
