TWO MORE SOPHIE’S LEGACY APPROVED HOSPITALS!
We are so proud to announce that Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham are now Sophie’s Legacy Approved Hospitals!
Both hospitals have achieved all of Sophie’s wishes, including:
⭐ Three meals a day for parents and carers
⭐ Updated children’s menus, giving young patients better food choices while they’re in hospital
⭐ Play specialists available seven days a week, making sure children have access to play and support every day
These were such simple but important things that Sophie wanted to change for children and their families in hospital. To now see more and more hospitals listening, making those changes and turning her wishes into reality is incredibly special.
Every hospital that achieves Sophie’s wishes means more children and families having a better experience at one of the hardest times in their lives and that is exactly what Sophie wanted.
A huge thank you to everyone at Darlington and County Durham for getting behind Sophie’s vision and making these changes happen for the families in your care.
