⚓️🇬🇧 Merchant Navy Day – Was on 3rd September 🇬🇧⚓️

This Merchant Navy Day, 3rd September, Eyemouth Harbour Trust is proud to remember and honour the men and women of the Merchant Navy, past and present.

To mark the occasion, we have been flying the Red Ensign at Eyemouth Harbour — a proud symbol of the Merchant Navy and a tribute to those who have served our country at sea. 🚢🌊

Merchant seafarers have played a vital role in keeping our nation supplied, particularly during times of war, often facing incredible danger and hardship.

Today, we remember their courage, dedication and sacrifice, and recognise the important contribution the Merchant Navy continues to make.

We will remember them. ⚓️

Eyemouth Harbour Trust (EHT) is seeking two new Trustees to join its Board, bringing additional experience and expertise as the harbour looks ahead to a period of major opportunity and investment.

The recruitment follows last year’s publication of EHT’s £250 million, 50-year Masterplan, which has set out the potential for significant new infrastructure and commercial development in Eyemouth over the coming decades.

A reminder to all harbour users that Eyemouth Herring Queen is scheduled to host fireworks display from the West Pier at Eyemouth Harbour on Saturday 1st August 2026 at 10.30pm.

LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS!

All harbour users and vessel operators are advised that, as part of the Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival, a flotilla of vessels will be travelling from St Abbs Harbour to Eyemouth Harbour, escorting the Herring Queen into Eyemouth Harbour.

The flotilla is expected to arrive at Eyemouth Harbour at 2.30pm.
