What We Wash Away

🌊🌱 New publication out now!

Everyday personal care products don’t just stop at the bathroom drain — many end up in our coastal waters. Our latest study explores how pollution from personal care products affects the health of seagrass, a vital habitat for marine life and coastal protection. Understanding these impacts is key to protecting seagrass meadows and the ecosystems they support.

This work was funded by the The University of Edinburgh Marine Systems and Policies programme and St Abbs Marine Station. Big thanks to Project Seagrass and Seawilding for their support and expert advice that made our research possible!
