It’s ! Did you know that we have around FIVE HUNDRED volunteers here at Exeter Cathedral? Our Dean, Jonathan Greener, sums up these wonderful individuals – “Volunteers are the lifeblood of Exeter Cathedral. Every day, all sorts of people give a few hours of their time to support us in a surprisingly wide variety of ways.”

A huge thank-you to each and every volunteer who has supported us in the past and to those who currently support us. We are incredibly grateful to have you in our Cathedral community.

NEW COLLAB: HOLY FOOL COFFEE 🙌

We’ve teamed up with the wonderful people at to offer you – our brilliant customers – a delicious, life-changing guest roast coffee, available as iced or hot coffee.

Located just outside Exeter, Holy Fool is a specialty coffee company that provides barista training and support for prison leavers and those overcoming social challenges.

Every penny given to Holy Fool goes toward this mission.

As well as offering hospitality and coffee skills training, they’re building a redemptive enterprise: a thriving business that employs and engages people who are often denied the chance to rebuild their lives.

“Together, we seek to break negative cycles through meaningful work and mentorship.”

Next time you visit, why not try this life-changing coffee for 80p extra by asking for the guest roast? ☕️

Plus: ground coffee bags available from the Cathedral Shop

Did you know… that after Cathedral properties were requisitioned during the English Civil War, most of Exeter‘s cloisters were purchased by a property developer 👀
