First Thursdays start next week (Thursday 4 June) - here’s what to expect 👇
Gandy Street is transforming into a summer evening celebration of food, music and community from 5–8pm ✨
This is a true whole-street takeover, with businesses, makers and creatives all coming together for one evening each month.
🎶 Live music & entertainment
DJs in RAMM’s garden, live busking from rising Devon artists, plus dance demos from Exeter Phoenix and low-key live moments across the street.
🍸 Food, drink & the Cocktail Collective
£8 signature cocktails across participating bars, street food favourites, Red Panda open late, and plenty of sweet treats (hello Chococo 👀).
🛍️ Late shopping & local finds
Independent businesses opening late with special offers, alongside Maker Mart’s Makers Sale and Meet the Maker moments. Don’t miss the Circular Social Market at Boston Tea Party on Queen Street.
Pop into Wand Vintage for relaxed, 15-minute drop-in talks at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30, designed as informal discovery moments. June’s theme is uranium glass, with a different theme each month.
🌿 Talks, workshops & creative spaces
Join the Library’s Writing and the City panel at 6:30pm, or spend time in their relaxed foyer and garden.
University of Exeter hosts lightning/seed talks, while Bill’s brings terrarium workshops and a lemonade stand to the street.
✨ Expect pop-ups, surprises and plenty of reasons to linger, with something happening at almost every turn.
Think festival vibes, after-work energy, and a chance to experience Gandy Street a little differently.
