We were proud to see one of our finest, Trevor McMillan, take his 1st official duty at PGL2 yesterday, what a fantastic day to be part of, and a different format to other years as wives and partners were invited into the temple to see the promotions of the brethren.

A true honour and a moment that will live with him forever.

We spent today supporting Worcestershire Freemasons by attending the Pershore Plum Festival. Our stand saw a lot of footfall and it was a pleasure speaking with the local community and answering questions related to Freemasonry.

A wonderful event.

Can you name all 12 of the famous masons? (Picture below - no cheating)

Learning & Development at Avon Lodge

Another excellent Learning & Development evening at Avon Lodge, with Brethren continuing to embrace a different, interactive approach to Masonic learning.

We were delighted to welcome VWBro Mike D***s, who joined us to see our approach in action separating ritual practice from Learning & Development and bringing the principles of the Members’ Pathway to life rather than simply leaving them as words on paper.

The evening began with a series of short Solomon “Snippets”, researched and presented by our own Brethren. These short presentations were designed not as lectures, but to spark questions, conversation and further learning and they certainly did!

We then moved into our Scenario Room, where small groups were given realistic situations they might encounter during their Masonic journey. There were no simple right or wrong answers; instead, the scenarios encouraged Brethren of all levels of experience to discuss, challenge ideas, share experiences and reflect on how they might respond.

A huge thank you to VWBro Mike to find time in his busy diary to join us, Adam Lewis Chair of the Cubit Club and everyone who prepared a Snippet, contributed to the scenarios and supported the evening.

Learning doesn’t have to mean sitting through a lecture. Sometimes the best learning happens when Brethren research for themselves, ask questions, share experiences and learn from each other.

Another great evening at Avon Lodge No. 3569.
