Hi, I’m Gail, and I’ve grown up in Porty, and am a former 1970s Towerbank and 80s Porty High School pupil. Now a former resident (still nearby) with a strong connection to the area through rowing with Row Porty, teaching adults to cycle with PCE, and working for the Equal Footing Porty project, mapping dropped kerbs in the area and identifying ways to help accessibility for all.
I will be working with PCE as the Community Partner of The City of Edinburgh Council Edinburgh Outdoors and AtkinsRéalis, gathering ideas for improvements to our prom and surroundings, making it a welcoming place for everyone.
I have seen Portobello transform throughout my life as a resident, and I am really excited about what we can create together. I will be out and about talking to as many local people and groups as possible.
Please get in touch – [email protected] or leave a comment on the CEC Padlet here: https://padlet.com/portyprom/portobello-promenade-project-nov8w29m84jp8lo8
There are various ways to have your say – whether you are a parent with toddlers or teens; someone with accessibility needs, a local business, dog owners and walkers, swimmers and rowers, cycle and, running and walking groups, or a social or community group who use the promenade; lets meet up for a chat.
Whatever your connection with the prom, I would love to hear from you!
