Anxiety, depression and the challenges of coping with the day to day demands of pregnancy and life after birth are more common than many people realise. Knowing how to recognise these challenges and respond with the right support can sometimes feel difficult.

Join us on 19 November 2026 from 9:30am to 1:00pm for our Understanding Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Course, delivered in person at our Counselling service in Inverness.

Led by two experienced trainers, the course will help you develop your understanding of perinatal and infant mental health, including key symptoms, risk factors and the emotional impact on parents and families.

Participants will receive a CPD certificate and a resource pack containing up to date information and resources on perinatal mental health.

Please join us this week as we pray for Eskmills, offering supported accommodation for adults with learning disabilities in Edinburgh and East Lothian.
🙏Pray for support for the management team at Eskmills as they strive to recruit new staff.
🙏Help the team as they continue to work with complex and difficult care arrangements with service users, families and funding authorities.
🙏 Guide the staff team as they develop a new housing service for young people with learning disabilities in the Milton Road East area of Edinburgh.
🙏May each person supported know that they are loved, respected and valued as an individual.

Yesterday we held our World Cafe, a day for those in our adult care services to come together and share their thoughts, experiences and feedback. We were joined by CEO John Cooper on his first full day in post. There were many insights and ideas developed from the discussions which will help us shape our adult care services in ways that matter most to those who access them. In these past few weeks, we have enjoyed time to look back with Viv on her career with CrossReach. We have been reminiscing, laughing, performing songs, sharing stories, shedding a few tears and eating every cake imaginable. As Viv’s time with CrossReach officially comes to a close today, we gathered for a final time to wish her well. She has been a leader, a mentor, a problem solver, a woman of faith, and a friend to many, and we will miss her dearly. We give thanks for Viv, for her career served with so much love and we all wish her every blessing on her retirement, which has now officially begun!

1133 Drug Related Deaths in Scotland in 2025, an increase of 11% from 2024

We are always saddened when these figures are released, when they confirm what we suspect the situation to be.

Knowing the people that this affects and knowing those who are still at risk hits hard and makes us redouble our commitment to work with partners, families and individuals to offer support, hope and encouragement.

We know that getting quick access to services, including the safety and opportunity of residential rehab, can save lives.

We are further increasing our capacity and helping improve pathways to services, as well as equipping those with 'lived experience' who have made positive changes to become leaders who inspire others to come for help.

Behind every number is a person who mattered and a family and community carrying loss. We will not lose sight of that, and we will keep working so that no one feels beyond hope, and everyone knows that help is within reach.
