The 77th Sachensymposion Conference is taking place at the University of Aberdeen on the 29th Aug - 2nd Sept 2026. The event is proudly sponsored by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and will explore a range of interconnected themes in Roman Iron Age and early medieval Europe.

Our latest case study of the month showcases the unique discovery of Bronze Age animal carvings on a capstone at Dunchraigaig Cairn, Kilmartin.

We were delighted to receive funding from Historic Environment Scotland to continue our work with the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland alongside Dig It for the next three years. Our final two regional research frameworks are now underway, with three new team members!
