Today we celebrate ONE whole year of Social22 🎉

What started as a vision has grown into a safe, welcoming space where young people can come together, be themselves, have fun, and build real friendships 💛

Over the past year, we’ve shared laughter, created memories, and built a community that we are so proud of. None of this would be possible without the incredible support around us.

Something exciting is coming to Dunoon…
From 8th – 10th May, there’s a local film festival happening, hosted by Dunoon Community Development Trust — and it’s shaping up to be a great weekend for young people and the community 👀

🍿 Expect a relaxed, welcoming vibe with:
🎥 A range of films to enjoy
💬 Chances to share thoughts and chat about what you’ve watched
☕ A friendly café space to hang out, meet people, and chill

It’s a great opportunity to try something a bit different, spend time with friends, and be part of something happening locally. Whether you’re really into films or just looking for something to do, you’ll be welcome 👍

Last week, we had a fantastic time as two of our volunteers joined some P7s for the first DGS transition weekend! 🙌

Alison & Ann spoke to the pupils about Social 22, played games, and got everyone involved in some fun activities. One of the highlights was designing their very own Social 22 keyrings—such creativity on display! 🎨✨

A quick reminder that all P7s are very welcome to come along to Social 22:
🕕 Fridays, 6pm–7pm (with all other secondary-age youths staying until 9pm)

💷 £1 entry
🍬 Bring a little extra for the tuck shop
📝 An adult must complete a registration form for first-time attendees

🎉 100 Members & Growing! 🎉

We’re so excited to share that our youth club membership has now reached over 100 young people — with lots of new P7s joining us in the past month! 🙌

Every Friday night we’re welcoming 30–40 young people through our doors, and many of them are becoming regulars. It’s fantastic to see such a friendly, inclusive community building week by week.

Just a reminder that we provide a safe, welcoming hangout space for secondary-aged youths — a place to relax, meet friends, and have fun.

💷 Entry is just £1, plus a little extra if you’d like something from the tuck shop.
