Dunoon on the Move Dunoon on the Move aims to make cycling, walking and wheeling accessible, fun and sociable. Developed by Dunoon Community Development Trust & funded by HITRANS.

Check out our programme of walks, led cycles, cycle maintenance training & e-bike loans. Dunoon on the move continues the excellent work of Dunoon Bothy project supporting people to make more everyday journeys by walking, cycling or wheeling. Dunoon on the Move are coming to Valrose to share their love of cycling and walking with the community.

📍Find us in the green space at the top of McArthur Street, left at Cowal Place
⏰ Sat 11 July, 12noon till 3pm
🚲 🔧 Free bike checks with Bike Doctor Frank - just bring your bike along and Frank will provide free advice and safety checks to keep you on the road,
🚲📚 Browse the Dunoon Bike Library - try an electric bike, cargo bike and a wee scoot bike. Talk to our Dunoon on the Move team.
🚶‍♂️Walk and learn as we explore the heritage of Valrose - Meet at Top shop at 1pm.

Flat Gentle Ride to Innellan

Saturday 20th June 10.30 am

Leaving from the Gatehouse in Castle Gardens we will head along the West Bay and follow the pavement along to Innellan Pier and return the same way. We can grab a coffee at The Lido and maybe a wee cake too? Remember to contact to Dunoon on the Move (me!) if you would like to borrow/loan an ebike.
This is a lovely flat route, very little roadwork involved as we can cycle on the shared pavement for most of the ride.
Mostly traffic free on shared pavements

Please wear a helmet and appropriate clothing for the weather and ensure your bike is roadworthy.
This is a lovely scenic, flat route. No-one will be left behind, if the headwind is awful we will just shorten the distance!
