The Tartan Army in Miami? Nope - it’s Summer Graduation at the University of Dundee!

Inspired by Scottish football fans who covered City of Boston statues in orange cones (a nod to Glasgow’s famously dressed Duke of Wellington statue), we gave Dundee’s Desperate Dan statue the same treatment ahead of the Scotland National Team’s match against Brazil tonight ⚽️

Dundee City Council we promise we took it down afterward - No Scotland No Party!

Fahd Ali Asif is proof that good things come in threes. He completed a hat-trick of taps from the Dundee bonnet today when he was awarded a Doctorate in International Education.

It was a full-circle moment for Fahd, who has also worked for the University, assisting with student recruitment and international engagement. With his Doctorate, he is now keen to continue his career in international education, student mobility and institutional strategy.

He said, “The University has made me who I am today and I’ve had so many amazing experiences along the way.”

Court is the University's governing body - responsible for overseeing all our activities and ensuring we achieve our objectives as an institution.

We're currently looking for three exceptional individuals to take on the roles of Lay Members of Court. Applicants can be from any background - public, private, or voluntary sectors - but can't be a current member of staff or student of the University.

A top team of University experts are offering pre-tournament tips to football fans to keep them match-fit throughout the World Cup.

With supporters gearing up for late nights and high drama following the big kick-off on June 11, many will be unprepared for the toll that such a dramatic change to their routine will mean for their bodies.

In a bid to prevent some self-inflicted time on the sidelines, a squad of health experts from Dundee’s Faculty of Health are giving armchair fans tactical advice, ensuring they can stay in the game until the final whistle.
