🎄 Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza 2026 - Get Involved! 🎄

It might only be March, but we’re already starting to plan this year’s Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza - and we’d love local businesses, groups, and anyone interested to come along to our first planning meeting.

As many of you know, the Extravaganza is a key part of Dunblane’s festive calendar - and it’s only possible thanks to the support and ideas of our fantastic community. This year, we’re keen to involve people from the very beginning.

This will be an open and informal meeting where you can:
- Share feedback from previous years’ events
- Suggest ideas for 2026
- Find out how to get involved

🎅THANK YOU! 🎅

What an amazing evening at Dunblane’s Christmas Extravaganza last night! Despite the wind and rain, so many of you joined us for a fun-filled evening.

We want to extend our thanks to all the local groups, organisations, venues, restaurants and traders who stayed open late and helped bring the event to life.

A special thank you goes to everyone involved behind the scenes. The Extravaganza takes a huge amount of planning, preparation and setup, and we are so thankful to every volunteer who gave their time. Our own volunteers - especially our DIY group - spent countless hours getting everything ready, supporting the event on the night, and are still working hard to return things to normal.

Our thanks also go out to the groups who volunteered and gave up their time to help or perform during the Extravaganza:

🎄 Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza - High Street Highlights!

With the Extravaganza nearly here, we’re excited to share that many of our fantastic High Street traders will be staying open late encouraging you to shop local this Christmas. Here’s a taste of what’s happening:

✨ The Giving Tree - Selling a great selection of pre-loved Christmas gifts, toys and decorations, a raffle supporting the Dunblane Development Trust and The Duncan Trust, plus a kids’ lucky dip.

✨ Ruby Ruby - Together with the 25th Dunblane Boys Brigade, they’ve created a special Santa’s Lucky Dip Bag! Make a donation, pick a surprise gift, and enjoy contributions from Ruby Ruby and the local community. Kinrara Gin will also be outside with drinks, gifts and samples.

✨ Red & Co - Storytelling at 6pm.

✨ Baird’s Optometrists - Featuring Karen Simpson Photography offering stunning iris photography, along with prosecco and mince pies.

✨ Weigh Ahead & Weigh Ahead Makers - Late-night shopping, pop-up markets and sweet treats.

✨ WJM Solicitors - Open from 5pm–7pm with wine, refreshments and nibbles. Pop in and say hello!

✨ Elite Performance - Meet the team and take a peek into the professional lifting space. They’ll be chatting all things strength and conditioning for all ages.

✨ Cathedral City Estates - Open from 5pm–7pm, inviting visitors to hear about their exciting refurbishment plans. Prosecco, soft drinks and mince pies will be served.

✨ Craft Central - Family-friendly Christmas crafting throughout the evening, mulled cider, and a lovely selection of handmade crafts and jewellery.

✨ Erskine Eyecare - Serving festive treats and offering 50% off sunglasses.

✨ Sue Ryder - Open with a great selection of toys and gifts.

✨ Allanwater Pottery - Open all evening with free mulled apple juice and beautiful handmade ceramics to browse.

✨ Monarch Legal - Teaming up with Another Tilly Tearoom to serve homemade soup for charity outside. Inside, they’ll have fun kids’ games and something festive for the adults too.

✨ Andrew Anderson & Sons Funeral Directors - Opening their doors for a quiet moment of remembrance. Write a message, share a memory or simply pause for reflection - a comforting space during a season that can bring mixed emotions.

🎄 Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza - Venue Highlights! 🎄

With the Extravaganza just around the corner, here’s what’s happening at some of the venues across Dunblane this evening:

✨ Cathedral Halls - Stop by for a warming hot chocolate! The First Aid point, kindly staffed by volunteers from Dunblane Air Cadets, is also here.
✨ Dunblane Cathedral - Enjoy a performance by the Cathedral Choir at 7PM.
✨ Burgh Chambers - Creative Dunblane opens the Burgh Chambers to showcase the Makerspace, the Co:working Hub, and the newly finished Jackie Kay Room. Christmas decorations made in the Makerspace will be available to buy.
✨ Dunblane Museum - Browse unique gifts and support the museum while it’s open this evening.
✨ Leighton Library - Open for visitors to explore and enjoy.
✨ The Library – Meet Mrs Claus from 5–7PM, enjoy storytelling at 6PM, and take part in Christmas crafting throughout the evening.
✨ St Blanes Church Hall - Visit our charity hub to support local organisations, including Dunblane Museum, Dunblane Soccer Club, Dunblane Boys Brigade, 1st Dunblane Girls Brigade, and the Leighton Library.

🎄 CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA ENTERTAINMENT! 🎄

We’re excited to share a sneak peek of the amazing entertainment planned for the Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza on Thursday 27th November!

Alongside our two main stages, you’ll find festive performances and activities happening all evening throughout the High Street and in many of our wonderful local venues.

We can't wait to see you there! ✨

The countdown is on - the Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza 2025 less than a week away!!

What to Expect:

🔸High Street Closure: The High Street will be closed to traffic from 4pm, with parking restrictions from 2pm, to allow everyone to pass safely.

🔸Santa’s Parade: Santa and his parade will travel down the High Street at 5.30pm to light up the Christmas Tree. He’ll be joined by some very special guests, including local school children and the Queen Victoria School Brass Band.

🔸Santa’s Grotto: After the parade, Santa will head to his Grotto where we’ll be collecting donations for Start Up Stirling's Foodbank. We kindly ask visitors to bring a donation to the foodbank in exchange for their visit.

🔸Two Entertainment Stages: Enjoy performances from Rubber Chicken Theatre, the Dunblane Boys’ Brigade Band, Newton Primary School Choir, and the Dunblane Hand Bell Ringers - plus a special performance from the Cathedral Choir inside the Cathedral.

🔸 Late Night Shopping & Dining: Our wonderful High Street traders will be open late - perfect for Christmas shopping or grabbing a festive bite!

🔸Local Landmarks Staying Open: Our wonderful local venues will be welcoming visitors during the evening.

🔸 Charity Hub at St Blane’s: Visit our Charity Hub showcasing fantastic local charities and organisations doing great work in our community.

🔸 Pop-Up Bar: The Burgh Gardens will host a festive pop-up bar featuring Sheep in Wolf's Clothing Brewery.

🚧 HIGH STREET CLOSED FOR THE DUNBLANE CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA! 🎄

To ensure Santa and his parade can pass safely and to make the Extravaganza a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, Dunblane High Street will be closed to traffic between 4:00 PM and 9:30 PM on Thursday 27th November. Parking will also be suspended from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

SCHEDULE 1 – ROAD CLOSURE (4:00 PM – 9:30 PM)
Affected section: High Street – from Beech Road to the roundabout at The Cross
Alternative route: Stirling Road → Perth Road (B8033) → High Street

SCHEDULE 2 – PARKING SUSPENSION (2:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

🎅 SANTA'S PARADE & GROTTO! 🎅

Santa is back for this year’s Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza on Thursday 27th November 2025!

His parade will start at the Four Ways Roundabout at 5:30 PM and travel along the High Street to the Train Station, where he will help switch on the Christmas Tree lights! 🎄

After the parade, Santa will head to his Grotto. This year, we’re proudly supporting Start Up Stirling. In exchange for a visit with Santa, we’re asking for a donation to their Food Bank. We have shared a shopping list of items they need most this year.

Don’t worry if you can’t bring an item - cash donations will also be welcome on the day.
