This is not a first aid course it’s a life saving course…

On the 13th September at the team in partnership with .outdoor will be starting the save a life tour.

In the case of a life threatening bleed you have just 2.5 minutes to stop it.

What would you do?
What kit do you have?

In the case of a heart attack, a defibrillator needs to be in place in less than 6 minutes.

How far from an AED are you?
How good is your CPR?

How do you get help in the middle of nowhere?

This scenario based, outdoor course, covers three life saving skills

If they’re bleeding stop it
If they aren’t breathing help them
If they’re cold make them warm
Carry the right kit!

The course runs from 0930-1300hrs costs £55.00 and is taught by former mountaineers and special duties operators. Contact .bradshaw if you’d like more detail.

Another fantastic evening well spent with the Grangemouth Royal Air Force Cadets delivering our ‘What’s Your Everest?’ workshop.

We use Everest as a metaphor for mental health challenges to help frame personal struggles as a journey. Just as climbers push through adversity with resilience, preparation and the correct tools to reach the summit, we too can conquer our inner "Everest” and be a part of our own solution.

Demons in the desert!

It's taken a while but we've put the whole story together!
The last 3 years have been crazy with this project and it didn't end how I would have liked!

The reason I do these things is to understand my own resilience and how to better cope. This one has certainly done that and in ways that I could not have imagined!

When you enter into this level of adventure and challenge there is no guarantee of success - far from it.

Therefore the partnerships and ultimately friendships that are built up around them are resilient and enduring.

Over the last 3 years the MotoJoe team headed by Joe Philipsz and Tatty Bogle have never faltered.

Stirling Trailer Centre- More than just trailers. continue to get my kit and equipment to where ever I may be needed in the world! and alongside SC MEDIA are helping me get ready for the next chapter.

I am immensely proud to be clarssified as an ambassador by Vango and together we are all ready building up to a high schools STEM project!

So I didn't get to see Dakar but so much positivity has stemmed from Project Dakar!

🚨What’s your Everest? Go big or go home! 🚨

We’ve hired the IMAX screen in Glasgow to put on our biggest event yet!

On Wednesday 30th October, we will be running a morning and afternoon session of our ‘What’s Your Everest?’ workshop free of charge to young people. The 370 seat venue boasts the largest screen in Scotland!🤩

Using tips and tricks from the adventure that is summiting Mount Everest… we want to inspire young people to look at STEM in a new light and to understand how they can deal with feelings of anxiety.

Help us spread the word to as many young people, youth groups and schools that we can.

At the end of May, Longdean School reached out to us as part of their appeal for funds and equipment for their upcoming The Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition.

A conversation took place and within 2 days we had successfully managed to ship what equipment we had to them.
450 miles later and the tents and sleeping bags we provided were able to be used in their June expedition!

Here is what they had to say...

"Over a stormy June weekend, 53 Year 9 students from Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead completed their final expedition for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's award. Students did exceptionally well, navigating dreadful weather, difficult navigation and steep routes, to qualify at the end of a fantastic year of preparation. 4 groups were particularly pleased to be able to use Vango tents lent to us from the Sandstone Foundation. These kept students cosy and dry in the downpour - others weren't so lucky! Other students enjoyed using sleeping gear also lent to us from Sandstone.

All round, it was a huge success!"
