Dunblane Development Trust

Dunblane Development Trust Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) is a membership-based community company with charitable status. What we do:
1.

Since inception in 2003, we have grown to provide a range of local services and activities based on priorities set by a community consultation. The Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) is a membership organisation and community-run charity established in 2003 with the purpose of:
• Enabling local people to help shape their town’s future.
• Further developing Dunblane as a welcoming and enterprising co

mmunity that cares about its historical and physical environment. Delivering projects that respond to community aspirations and make the most of Dunblane’s assets.
2. Working in partnership with other local community /statutory bodies and Stirling Council.
3. Providing volunteering opportunities - for all ages and abilities
4. Securing funding and resources by generating income, accessing grants and fundraising. How we operate:
The Trust is managed by a Board of volunteer Trustees elected from the membership which is open to all who live or work in Dunblane. We operate primarily through volunteer groups including a subsidiary trading company, DDT Projects Ltd, which takes on more complex tasks e.g. the High St Riverview building and the repair of the collapsed river wall/path.

Another great effort from the Dunblane in Bloom team! 🌿🌸

They've been busy giving the beds at Smithy Loan a tidy-up, as well as relocating some shrubs and plants from overcrowded areas around town to the new tiered rock garden area.

It’s wonderful to see these plants getting a new lease of life while helping to brighten up another part of Dunblane!

A busy and productive Sunday for Dunblane in Bloom! 🌸🌿

They planted a large number of new perennial plants in the rock gardens, and everything is already looking brighter and more colourful. The Fox and Bear garden is looking lovely too!

🌼 HELPING DUNBLANE TO BLOOM!🌼

Our volunteers from Dunblane in Bloom were out on Sunday morning working at the Smithy Loan beds in the sunshine, and what a difference it has made!

There were quite a few weeds to tackle, but after a good session of clearing and tidying, the beds are already looking so much better 🌿

Dunblane in Bloom meet every Sunday morning and new volunteers are always welcome to join - no experience needed, just enthusiasm and a little bit of time!

THE GIVING TREE FASHION SHOW - WHAT A NIGHT! 💛

The Giving Tree recently held their third annual Fashion Show, and what a fantastic evening it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who bought tickets and came along to support us - we hope you had as much fun as we did! The atmosphere was brilliant from start to finish.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to our fabulous models, and to all of our amazing volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make everything run so smoothly - we couldn't have done it without you! 👏

💙 Dementia Friendly Dunblane - Wee Social Visit 💙

Dementia Friendly Dunblane were delighted to host Meeting Centre Scotland's Wee Social last week, welcoming members and staff from across the network to learn more about the work we do here in Dunblane.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share our approach to supporting people living with dementia and to connect with others working in similar fields across Scotland.

The group enjoyed spending time out and about in Dunblane, including a visit to the Leighton Library, The Dunblane Museum and hearing from Blair at Historic Environment Scotland about dementia awareness sessions delivered in partnership with Dementia Friendly Dunblane.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so welcoming and enjoyable 💙
