Dunblane Development Trust

Dunblane Development Trust Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) is a membership-based community company with charitable status. What we do:
1.

Since inception in 2003, we have grown to provide a range of local services and activities based on priorities set by a community consultation. The Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) is a membership organisation and community-run charity established in 2003 with the purpose of:
โ€ข Enabling local people to help shape their townโ€™s future.
โ€ข Further developing Dunblane as a welcoming and enterprising co

mmunity that cares about its historical and physical environment. Delivering projects that respond to community aspirations and make the most of Dunblaneโ€™s assets.
2. Working in partnership with other local community /statutory bodies and Stirling Council.
3. Providing volunteering opportunities - for all ages and abilities
4. Securing funding and resources by generating income, accessing grants and fundraising. How we operate:
The Trust is managed by a Board of volunteer Trustees elected from the membership which is open to all who live or work in Dunblane. We operate primarily through volunteer groups including a subsidiary trading company, DDT Projects Ltd, which takes on more complex tasks e.g. the High St Riverview building and the repair of the collapsed river wall/path.

๐Ÿ’š WE NEED YOUR HELP ๐Ÿ’š

At the moment we are particularly short of:

๐Ÿ“š Children's books
๐ŸŽฒ Games
๐Ÿงธ Toys
๐Ÿ‘œ Handbags
๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Cushions
๐Ÿ›๏ธ Bedding (duvet covers and sheets)
๐Ÿงบ Towels

We kindly ask that all items are clean, complete and in good condition.

When you donate to The Giving Tree, you're doing much more than passing on unwanted items.

This year, the small community grants funded from shop profits have helped local groups by providing items including tents, goal posts and planters for schools and youth organisations.

Shop profits also help support the work of Duncan Hospital Charitable Trust in India. With your support we have raised enough money to train 2 nurses and helped to provide a basic education and a daily meal for 50 street children living in the vicinity of the hospital.

Your donations make a BIG impact in the local community and beyond.

If you have any of the items listed above, please consider donating them, and any other items from the list at the top of the page, to the The Giving Tree. Every donation helps us continue supporting good causes both locally and internationally.

Thank you for your continued support. ๐Ÿ’š

Another great effort from the Dunblane in Bloom team! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ

They've been busy giving the beds at Smithy Loan a tidy-up, as well as relocating some shrubs and plants from overcrowded areas around town to the new tiered rock garden area.

Itโ€™s wonderful to see these plants getting a new lease of life while helping to brighten up another part of Dunblane!

They planted a large number of new perennial plants in the rock gardens, and everything is already looking brighter and more colourful. The Fox and Bear garden is looking lovely too!
