Hi Everyone,
Happy International Women’s Month! 🎮✨
Our work with the Neurodivergent and Home Education communities is really important to us and working with these communities have introduced us to some extremely strong and and inspirational communities leaders, mothers, sisters, wives and grandmothers to name a few.
We wanted to start by recognising the mums, aunties and sisters that join us for our sessions on a Friday and saturday.
The wives and girlfriends that support us with our events and running the activity centre.
And for our female player base who enrich our activities and experiences with their own narratives, humour and experiences.
In the world of gaming, "winning" isn't always about the leaderboard. This month, we’re celebrating the women who make our gaming spaces more thoughtful, inclusive, and creative—from the developers crafting empathetic narratives to the players building supportive communities.
Mindful gaming is about intentionality, and today we’re honoring the women who remind us to play with heart.
🌸 Ways to Celebrate Mindfully
Play Women-Led Stories: Dive into titles with complex female protagonists or games developed by women-led studios. Focus on the emotional depth and artistry of their journeys.
Support the Creators: Give a shout-out to your favorite female streamers, artists, and developers. A kind word or a follow goes a long way in building a positive ecosystem.
Practice Inclusive Play: Use your voice to make lobbies and discords safer, kinder spaces. Mindful gaming means being aware of how our energy affects others.
Reflect on Your Heroes: Think about a female character or creator who changed how you view games. What did they teach you about resilience or empathy?
