A foundation in memory of Scott who is missed by so many, to help his legacy live on helping people follow his passion, his death although a tragic accident was avoidable due to gross negligence with no one held to account & sadly no lessons learnt Scott tragically lost his life when the stage collapsed whilst working at a Radiohead concert in Toronto on 16th June 2012 a tragic BUT avoidable acc
ident, due to a catalogue of serious gross negligence with no one held to account & the saddest thing is seemingly NO lessons learnt. In discussions with Scotts family they wanted something remotely positive to come out of their painful loss and so donations from the funeral were used to set up a bursary / foundation in which we initially supplied Yamaha electronic drum kits through a network of teachers that Scott knew as friends, to help their pupils who could not afford kits to benefit. The funds ran out long ago but during the covid19 pandemic the foundation has been resurrected, the live music industry will be the last to get back to work at all levels and so I poured my energy into resurrecting this initiative and along with so many generous drummers gifting kits/ shell packs/ bits of hardware/ odd cymbals I have been able to get kits out there again in Scotts name. Had a little criticism but please I assure you this is all done completely FREE , including personally delivering setting up and going through the kit
If you know somebody who would benefit from a drum kit but who genuinely doesn't have the resources to buy one, or has other barriers to access, please make contact
Or call me Paul on 0777 3076117
Or message
The main criteria really is that we need transparency to show where the kit has gone, especially the person who gifted it , plus ask that the recipient gets back in touch so we can recycle it should they stop using the kit
There is also a link for anybody who wants to donate drums , or part of a kit to this cause or click on https://forms.gle/kwVhPjVRiALPHXdF7
Please feel free to share or get in touch
