Forever Home Friday! ✨
Little Bear came to us with the rest of her family... all 11 of them. Of course, these little ones didn't spend too long in our care before they were off to their forever family. Exploring the world and snoozing in their favourite places. 🥹

Here's a recent update on how she is getting on in her new home:
"Bea is an absolute joy; she is so loving and enjoying her walks. She has settled in so well with us. She sometimes has issues with other dogs, but she’s adopted my daughter’s cross chihuahua/jack Russell as her brother so well. We are so grateful we were given the opportunity to adopt her. Thank you"

Preparing for Halloween 🎃
We all love a spooky time here at the centre... but most importantly we want everyone to keep safe. 🐾

Halloween can be a hard time for some animals, with strangers at their door, made even worse by their scary costumes, but there are ways we can keep them happier.

1️⃣ If you have a nervous animal that struggles with people at their home. Leave treats for the trick-or-treaters outside. You can also make them a den to help them feel safer.

2️⃣ Ensure that decorations, especially candle-lit pumpkins, are out of animal reach.

3️⃣Ensure that all trick-or-treating sweets and chocolate are kept out of animal reach

4️⃣Be home before dark. Take your dogs on a walk before dark in the hopes of avoiding all the scary strangers.

5️⃣Avoid dressing your animals in costumes, as this can cause them unnecessary stress.

Enjoy your Halloween, and stay safe! 🕷

Just to update everyone...
These guys have been checked over by our vets; we have been advised that they require a little further treatment. I know it is not the news everyone wanted, but we want to ensure that they are fit and healthy, ready to find their new homes.

We will contact prospective adopters when we get the all clear from the veterinary team.

We’ve been keeping a little secret 🤫

This past weekend, after 780 days, Miss Tigger found her forever family 🥹

As you can imagine, it was an emotional one for the team. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, and team members who weren’t working popped down to wish her farewell. 😭

We are over the moon for Tigger and class this as an Adoptober success! We wish her and her new family the best of luck and all our well wishes 🥰
