Norton WI - Doncaster

We are 10 days away from our craft and produce show, registration of entries from 10 am to 11 am. We then close for judging and reopen at 2pm to announce winners and enjoy refreshments and cakes. The grand auction of produce is at 3pm followed by the raffle. Please note that this is a CASH ONLY event. All proceeds in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

What a fun meeting last night making veggie monsters!
It was lovely to see members working together and to hear laughter all around the room
We couldn’t even start to judge them they were all so good and creative!

Our meeting on Wednesday 26th August 7.30 Campsall Village Hall will be…..,
Veggie Monsters!
A really good fun evening making use of end of season fruit and vegetables that are past their best!
(A good practice too for an entry to our craft and produce show next month!)

You may wish to bring an apron, a small knife and/or a chopping board

If you have any contributions you are welcome to bring them

What a lovely busy meeting last night
Our speaker was the very entertaining Dave Townend from Yorkshire Air Ambulance who gave a very informative talk about the work that they do, plans moving forward and also quite concerning difficult challenges ahead regarding tax and charity rules
This charity is our specific charity for the next 2 years and we will be working hard to support them
Our next big event is our craft and produce show 13th September Campsall Village Hall when we are hoping to raise lots of money for them

Our meeting on Wednesday 29th July with be with Yorkshire Air Ambulance
This wonderful organisation is our dedicated charity for the next couple of years and we are looking forward to learning about new developments and ways in which we can support them
All proceeds from our Craft and Produce Show will be for this charity too alongside other fundraising activities
Visitors are welcome £5 to include a light supper

As the WI Craft and produce show approaches, we are looking for raffle prizes, we are asking local businesses to consider donating a prize, all proceeds in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Any donations please message us.
