Last night we received significant support from Vectis Services towards our charity.
Vectis Services Lodge Supports the Victoria Cross Trust Members of Vectis Services Lodge have helped with a restoration and also were delighted to welcome Keith from the Victoria Cross Trust, who delivered an inspiring presentation and speech about the incredible work carried out by the Trust in preserving the graves and memorials of Victoria Cross recipients. The Victoria Cross Trust undertakes the important task of repairing, restoring and maintaining the final resting places of those who were awarded Britain's highest military honour for gallantry. Through their dedication and hard work, they ensure that the bravery and sacrifice of these heroes are never forgotten. During his presentation, Keith highlighted the challenges the Trust faces in continuing this vital work. As a charity, the organisation relies heavily on donations and charitable funding to survive, with running costs exceeding £18,000 per month. Despite these challenges, the Trust continues to carry out outstanding restoration projects across the country, preserving an important part of our military heritage. The Trust is constantly seeking new ways to raise funds and is currently looking for support towards the purchase of new equipment and a replacement van, both of which are essential for carrying out their restoration work. Any lodges, organisations or individuals seeking a worthwhile charity to support are encouraged to consider the Victoria Cross Trust and the remarkable work they do. Vectis Services Lodge is proud to have donated £500 to the Victoria Cross Trust in support of their efforts.
