We had a lovely drink and chat with some of our volunteers at Derby Garden Centre cafe this morning. We're celebrating Volunteer Week, a chance to show our wonderful team how much we appreciate them. But we don't only do this for one week of the year - we work hard every day to ensure our volunteers know they are valued members of our charity family and that they are well supported in their roles 💖

Claire's lovely husband Paul is raising money for our charity by running the Ramathon next month. The money raised will help us to support families who are isolated, struggling and finding it hard to access other services. We help by visiting our families at home to ensure they feel safe and heard. All donations hugely appreciated 💕

Our next volunteer preparation course starts next month. If you've been thinking of volunteering or have some spare time that you can give to help others, send us a message or give us a call.

The role is varied and rewarding, with full training provided so you'll feel confident, however nervous you feel at the start! We work with each volunteer to understand your strengths before matching you with a family to support and you can be sure that the work you do will make a real difference to people's lives💖
